The Mummies are the remnants of an ancient people that lived primarily in the desert. The dry climate of the desert meant that corpses had to be wrapped in linens to protect from sand and air, which would siphon out all the liquid and reduce the corpse to dust. Today, a special reanimation magic has brought these corpses back to life all across the desert. Mummies are an important part of the undead horde, but hold very little sway outside the sandy plains.

Yet another rank of cannon fodder for the undead coalition - in this guise, they are no different than the Skeleton or the Zombie, except that Mummies have slightly more health.

Some older Mummies have laid out for so long that underground moisture and other particles have given their linens a deep green hue, as decomposing blood and other organs seep out. For some reason, this age makes them slightly stronger than younger and fresher Mummies.

A Pharaoh's linens were overlaid with gold at the time of his death, which not only provided some insulation but also lasting strength. In the ranks of the undead, Pharaohs still command armies of loyal servants - in a way, not much has changed.

A Ptolemaeus was a Pharaoh who was part of an extremely rich and powerful dynasty. Upon death, a Ptolemaeus had his linens laid with gold, and then with a layer of Onix - this additional enchantment resonates with the magic that brings these undead to life and makes the Ptolemaeus much hardier. A large treasure trove of both Gold and Onixes can be expected from this affluence.

TriviaEdit

'Ptolemaeus' is Latin for Ptolemy and most likely refers to the last dynasty of Ancient Egypt, which was actually Greek.
