The Gargoyles are a race of winged, two-legged creatures which are very mobile, but are mostly flightless.
Like Goblins, Gargoyles use the Missile attack, but are prone to fire it off somewhat faster. Also, because they move faster in general, they are exceptionally dangerous. Without a larger sword, they are extraordinarily tough. While constantly attacking will keep a Gargoyle in place, it leaves the player open to counter attacks, which at this stage in the game are instantly lethal.

Young adult Gargoyles already have significant control over their fire abilities, and are highly employed to guard the mountains which the Gargoyles control. Gargoyle warfare focuses more on mobility and offense rather than defense, but Gargoyles are nonetheless still strong.

Gargoyle Nobles are usually the leader of a detachment of guards, although often times they do not engage in battle - instead they leave actual combat up to the younger soldiers, who can then prove themselves. Because of this, Nobles are tougher defensively, but not particularly more dangerous.

The oldest of Gargoyles, whose skins have turned to bright gold to reflect their fiery composition, those termed 'Emperors' are actually more like vassals, ruling over a certain hill or mountain. Generally, they live near the peak of their mountain, which makes finding one a difficult endeavor. Similar to Nobles, they often don't participate in war, which makes them vulnerable to dexterous attackers who can dodge their relatively basic attacks.

Ambrosia is the commander of the Gargoyle army. Local folklore says that his skin has turned to white diamond, but it is most probably layers of ash cinders, as he spends a lot of time next to lava. Exactly what his role is in the Gargoyle hierarchy is unknown - at times Ambrosia has been an Emperor, at other times simply a figure of reverence, at still others an active military strategist. Most sources believe that Ambrosia could annex the entirety of the race's territory for himself at any point, if he so wished, and no one would step up to prevent it. Whatever the situation, Ambrosia remains the most highly-idolized of all the Gargoyles.
